Traveling and creating artistic images is far more appealing than writing about myself.  But I suppose in order to understand my images, you need to know a bit about me.  A camera has been my artistic vehicle for over 20 years now.  Creating images as if the eye could speak, provides my inspiration and direction.  While there are thousands of locations around the world to explore and photograph, America is my home and where my heart is drawn.  Not that there won’t be global images, but for now America is my creative focus. 

There are a few phrases that chaperon me along my journey.  The first is “seek to be, not to seem”.  It pushes me forward along in my photography and each aspect of my life. The philosophy that is sets a baseline for me is “the journey is more important than the destination”. Many point a camera and capture an image; they record a moment. But for me, finding that still small voice and with camera in hand, my eyes are open and I see the compositions in my heart.
